My Writing Prompt Series

I'm so excited to introduce my writing prompt series! These prompts are designed to inspire you to come up with your next short story, poem, or self-reflection entry in your journal. They'll also challenge me to become a creative resource for you!

Our first batch is all about summer:

• Fireflies circle a tree at the edge of the forest. Curiously, they seem to be calling you. One by one, they form a line and float deeper into the wood. What happens as you follow them?

• You've started a jam company with your partner. You can't seem to agree on a name, but you're sweet on puns. List your top five favorites.

• Splash, there goes your phone. As you watch it sink into the sea, describe what you'll miss the most and/or what you're excited about now that you've gone on an accidental digital detox.

• While the sun certainly deserves a novel-length ode, it's getting a haiku from you today.

• Your garden is rife with colorful flowers, delicious fruit, and fragrant herbs. In short, it's perfect. Until one day, you notice a pest amidst your paradise. Describe it.
